"Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame, With conquering limbs astride from land to land; Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame. Keep ancient lands, your storied pomp!" cries she With silent lips. " Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!" -Emma Lazarus

Crosby Stills Nash and Young Inspire Another Generation

CSNY Freedom Of Speech Tour 2006

I remember hearing CSNY for the first time as a kid. Their inspirational rhythms and stance on social justice issues always seemed to motivate. Now they are linking generations. Showing us how much Iraq is like Vietnam. How we have failed to learn from history- get sucked in as a country to occupying a region for economic reasons. Like security guards for the rich.

Men like Patrick Murphy and the Fighting Dems are the future of hope for us. In our war society the men who have seen the atrocities and have led warriors will lead us out to a more peaceful time.

"Have I ever been here before?"

"Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. Blessed are the gentle, for they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied. Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."
