"Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame, With conquering limbs astride from land to land; Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame. Keep ancient lands, your storied pomp!" cries she With silent lips. " Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!" -Emma Lazarus

Hi, Dick

Hi, Dick. This post if for you.
After numerous emails I have realized you've forgotten what this country is about. You think its about the rich getting richer, the willful neglect of the poor because they "don't work hard enough." The aggression towards the middle east because Arabs have this imagined power to destroy our nation and way of life.
You have wandered, Dick. Wandered away from the principles of America. Like your idol George W Bush, you have forgotten what it means to be an American. Like the Confederates, you are willing to tear this great nation apart to further your hatred and southern narrow minded agenda. The greatest thing about this country is its checks and balances. Step one check Congress, see November 2006. Step two, check Bush see January 2009.
Welcome to America, Dick, we beat you in 1865 and upheld the values of racial justice and economic equality.
And we will beat you again.

"Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. Blessed are the gentle, for they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied. Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."
